Picking a word for the new year over making resolutions has been a thing for awhile.
Last year, I hopped on board and chose the word ‘courage’ for 2020. In addition to choosing courage, I made ONE new year resolution and that was “to fail a lot.” The idea is that stepping out of my comfort zone will require courage and going for new levels will require failure.
Safe to say, the two were very present in my 2020 and they’ll be present forevermore. Failure is a lot less scary when you prepare for it with questions and optimism! Courage is like a muscle that gets stronger each time you step over the line of comfort.
I like to preplan my goals through prayer, journaling and discussion with my loved ones, so I’ve chosen my word for 2021 as well as my resolution. I’ll share more details in an upcoming blog post… But for now, I wanted to get your gears grinding!
What is your 2021 inspiration?
I haven’t thought about it yet but your post has reminded me to start thinking.

Interestingly enough, this year’s main problem is what inspired next years word!
