I’ve found that although I love writing, I am very much a verbal processor. Which means that talking out loud and communicating externally is a big part of understanding thoughts whether they be my own or others. Think of the question, “are you hearing yourself right now?”
As part of this revelation, I have tried something new: Facebook LIVE. This helped me relay the message about my blog renovations in a friendly way without being overly edited. It was pleasantly surprising and not super time-consuming.
As you may have noted, I am in a season of trying somethings new especially as it relates to my blogging vocation. I’m always switching things up. Even in my physical world, I love moving furniture around and trying different arrangements when things get stale. That’s what’s happening metaphorically on my blog: I have a goal in mind so the pillars are shifting to form a new structure.
If none of this is ringing a bell, check out this post.
I feel a strong conviction to approach these areas of motivation, wisdom and inspiration as personal learning spaces…more time with God figuring all of those life themes.
Because I tend to go piece by piece, more of this will make sense as we share together over time. But I don’t want to shock anyone with a new name and title–previously Harvesting Hope at mama-equis.com, the blog and website have now become The Hopemade Woman at thehopemadewoman.com.
Historically, I shared my thoughts and reflections in a way that I hoped was motivational, wise and inspirational. That’s why I created the categories Moxie Monday, Wednesday Wisdoms, and Flourishing Friday. I had a lot of fun writing those but over time, I didn’t do so well with them. Probably because blog articles on motivation and biblical devotions and inspiration take a lot of effort. Hear me out, I love showing effort but effort is work and I didn’t always have the means to do the work: research, outline, verify for accuracy, etc.
What’s funny is that I feel a strong conviction to approach these areas of motivation, wisdom and inspiration as personal learning spaces rather than trying to impose my young understanding on others. I will spend more time with God figuring all of those life themes.
However, I still want to blog and share meaningful resources with the community that is forming here. Topics that fit this season of the new Hopemade Woman blog are related to practical life tips and lifestyle resources.
This doesn’t actually make blogging easier when it comes to research but it makes it more likely that a community of women will find a library of useful and informative resources. (Yes, by the way, the Bible is the most useful resource for life but I haven’t much mastered it at this point in my race. Don’t ya worry, God will always be the leader here and this is still a faith-based blog.)
I still want to share meaningful resources so that a community of women will find a library of useful and informative resources.
Having said all of that, I wanted to announce the blog topic we will explore for the next several weeks so you know what to expect. *Wink* Natural Birth!
I had birth au naturel but never shared my full story or the logic behind it. I hope you’re as excited as I am to dig in and share what there is to learn from other mothers, midwives, doulas and our own birth experiences! I also hope that this would start a conversation with more women and discover how hope and birth are related.
Upcoming Blog Topic: Natural Birth…
With love,
Mama X

Looking forward to to what you have to share.
